Q1. What is the floor capacity, room capacities and setups that can be done?

Q2. How early can we access the campus and when does the campus close?
A2. Campus hours are 8 am to 9:30 pm Monday to Friday and 8:30 am to 4 pm Saturdays.
Q3. Do you take bookings on the weekends?
A3. Currently, campus is only open on Saturday during the weekends. Sunday booking is subject to staffing availability.
Q4. How do I promote the event to your students?
A4. We will connect you with our Career Services team to help promote your event to our students.
Q5. Can I bring in my own caterer or do you have a preferred/exclusive one?
A5. Railtown Catering is our preferred caterer but you are welcome to bring your own caterer.
Q6. Is it possible to serve alcohol at the event?
A6. Guests may not serve alcoholic beverages of any kind without the prior written consent of University. If such
permission is granted, Guest shall be solely responsible for obtaining all permits, liquor licenses, and insurance
satisfactory to University. Copies of all such permits, licenses and insurance documentation must be submitted to
University at least two (2) weeks in advance. If such materials and information are not received in a timely manner,
no alcohol may be served. Alcohol may not be sold under any circumstances.
Q7. Is the kitchen available for use?
A7. The community is kitchen is for staff and student use only. If you have a full-catered event and require a prep room, this can be coordinated in advance.
Q8. Can you provide refreshments for our event?
A8. No, we provide refreshments to our staff/student community only. There is a water bottle filler available on all floors.
Q9. Is there parking available and how much is it?
A9. Secure parking is available in the underground parkade, accessible from the laneway on the west side of the building. The parking facility will have meters to purchase parking, click here for rates. Outdoor public bike parking is currently available across the street at the Vancouver Public Library.
Q10. Can I setup a banner in the main floor lobby?
A10. The building will allow an external banner in the main lobby is subject to the property manager approval. A volunteer can be stationed next to the Northeastern banner to greet and assist attendees with elevator access.
Q11. Can the elevators be unlocked for the event?
A11. The campus is in a secured building accessible with cards only. Unlocking of elevators is subject to Northeastern University Police Department’s approval.
Q12. Is there delivery and storage service before/after an event?
A12. The building has a loading bay and dock master that will accept delivery. You will need to make your own courier arrangements.
Q13. Is filming and photography allowed?
A13. Guests will not undertake or permit any sound or video recording or photography of any kind on
University property without the prior written consent of University.
Q14. Are pets allowed on campus?
A14.Animals are not permitted on the property with the exception of clearly identified service animals with prior notice. Guests with service animals without proper identification may be asked to leave the premise.
Q15. What are my responsibilities as a host?
A16. Adhere to the guest rules for events in university space, including to provide a complete guest list with the names and email addresses of all event attendees prior to AND a completed attended list at the end of the event.
